In The Spotlight At London Fashion Week.
So I am sure all our IKRUSH Fashionistas have heard that London Fashion week S/S 2014 was quite the big success last week. Here at IKRUSH HQ our top priority for London Fashion Week was to figure out which of our favourite desingers have got it right and won us over with some hits for next seasons biggest trends. Well that and celebrity style spotting... Have a look at what we spotted in our post- LFW S/S 2014- The Celeb Style Stealer. Just incase you havn’t kept up to date on the celeb news for London Fashion Week. If you read it, you’ll be able to imagine how awesome the front row looks while reading this one. Kind of like 3D, but a bit more imaginary. Yes, it’s a little bit early to be thinking of summer clothing, but with the cold weather creeping in, what a better way to warm up than dreaming of lighter clothing in the sun. Not fear if you never had tickets. Here we have London Fashion Week pictures to keep your fashion demons sated.London Fashion Week- Jasper Conran.
At Jasper Conran we some some classicly preppy shapes with interest twists. A-line is often given a bad rep. Well more of a dull rep really. We love how Jasper Conrans London Fashion Week show gave this a twist without ruining the 50’s vibe. The white skirt with transparent panels gave the prim and proper skirt a flattering look, showing off the models pins. Teaming this with the finer stripes on the top draws the eye up and narrows the body. We are hoping this use of paneling will make it to the high streets next season! The yellow skirt gave a stronger nod to the retro vibe but with contrasting patterns and matching tones the overall outfit certainly doesn’t bore. A tomboy vibe was also seen in the form of a tailored playsuit with a mini peplum waistline. Another hopeful contender for next season is the collar- a great way to smarten up any outfit. Fingers crossed for this one too. Seeing as we loved his collection so much, we decided to hunt down a video. We kinda love the contrast between the staging and the designs. Wonder who the illustrations are by... Well, that’s another one for the research list you can’t say we’re not keen! Jasper Conran tweeted a little sneak peek at his original drawings too! London Fashion Week show featuring structured leather bags and classic British style.
When it came to androgyny, this was one of the fashion shows that gave a great excuse for all the ex tomboys out there to bring back their boyish side. It was a case of, watch out London Fashion Week, were here to play, but seriously... The serious side came in the form of some gorgeous Jacquard fabrics and long lines. We loved the teaming of a strapless bask style top with matching city shorts. A similar look with a matching jacket and pale grey top gave a great city vibe. Our favourite look from this catwalk show however was a more relaxed outfit that almost mirrored the stripes that featured at Jasper Conran. A 2014 trend methinks...London Fashion Week Temperley London.
We’re hoping the full length skirt is a sign that the maxi will be back! What can we say the maxi skirt is our love for a comfy and flattering combo. The digital printed top is a great shape contrast, keeping the look sleek. This wasn’t so for the layered length skirt and top duo. Although this may not be a look for everyone we loved the shape of the pleated skirt. In contrast Temperley London also went for a monochrome vibe for some looks. Will our fav IKRUSH fashion trend be showing it’s easy to wear face again for Spring Summer fashion? We also had a little back stage look at how Temperley London got their design inspiration when they tweeted a cute pic of one of their mood boards. Makes up want to get out the PVA and some glitter- although the result of ours may be a tad messy...From the design room: What inspired yesterday’s SS14 show #TemperleyLFW https://t.co/OWN6oobaqB pic.twitter.com/iyGnS2D5OZ

London Fashion Week Christopher Kane.
As always we were treated to Christopher Kane going his own way with some unusual features. The cutout and embellished shapes in his collection are somewhat reminiscent of paisley print. If you can’t see it we recommend squinting your eyes and thinking hippy. Even if that doesn’t work, at least you look a bit silly doing it... Our favourite look from his collect was the tailored and embroidered black suit. Although not the norm for winter we loved another take on androgyny. London Fashion Week has sure been kind to our inner tomboy. If your more of a women who likes to feel feminine, his dress collection didn’t fail to impress. The more out there side was an apple green dress in a midi length. Hope the model was careful with her bra choice. Maybe some boob tape would be best... A more demure grey and black dress a mini looked great with piped pocket detailing. One of the best bits about this show was the amazing catwalk pictures taken from the front row. The whole set was amazing from the industrial vibe to the reflective floors. Have a look at Harpers Bazaar’s tweet. Yay for camera phones we think-If anyone had some fashion work experience at London Fashion Week, all we can say is we're Well Jel. Don't forget, if you were there, we want to hear about it.
