At the IKRUSH HQ we have been deliberating on exactly how we can celebrate being women without burning our bras. Not that we don’t appreciate that movement, but underwear is soooo expensive and really pretty... We like to think that being a women is all about confidence. For us being proud of what you have, no matter what your style is super important. Today we are looking into showing that off. Remember our post about winter boots? Well they are a great option for making your mini bodycon dress work for you during the day- and they make a good sub for wellies! For a casual look we opted for a brown quilted style boot teamed with one of our fav jackets this season, the parka. We love the detailing on this jacket keeping up with the leather look trend, wet look panel sleeves and pockets are bang on trend. Practicality makes this autumn jacket a winner. Who doesn’t love big pockets, ideal both for keeping your hands warm and storing your essentials (tissues for most people right now I think!). The tie in waist helps to make this masculine style more feminine, nipping you in and creating the ideal hour glass figure. It’s what we women do best in a dress, curves. For a more classic style we love the black version of our quilted boots. The buckle on the boots breaks up the shape, creating the allusion of tiny ankles. We matched this with out quilted biker jacket with zip detailing. If your not really the matchy matchy type don’t worry, wear the jacket open with the mini bodycon dress and the pattern will help to make your body look longer separating the boots and jacket. Mini Bodycon Dress Make-up and Hair Love.
That’s right we have a few great ideas for how to do your make up and hair to suit all four styling ideas. If your super busy like we are it can be a hassle on a Friday night trying to redo your hair for going out. These ideas will mean you can wear your dress with boots to work or collage and just bring your heels with you for a quick change. No one will know... Unless you go out with people from work or collage... Then they will definitely know. For your hair we suggest going crazy with the tongs in the morning and going for all out curls. To tame this look so it’s not too big for the day, simple pull into a low pony at the back (no bobble girls!) and wrap a section of hair around the base, pinning in place with a few kirby grips and a spritz of hairspray. When it gets to the end of the day, un pin your hair and brush it out gently with a soft bristled brush. Don’t worry, if you gave it enough curl this morning this should leave you with soft waves and lots of volume. Slightly back comb just under your roots for a bit more boots and spray again.
