CHIC II Fashion wows in Cirque Nightclub Glasgow

CHIC II showcases new IKRUSH party wear

Now we are in the middle of the Autumn Winter season, a wardrobe makeover is in order (isn't it always). CHIC II's fashion and shopping event, held in Cirque Nightclub in Glasgow, offered the perfect helping hand in picking new clothes and accessories. Along with many other designers and retailers at the event, IKRUSH walked the catwalk to bouncing music and an army of fashion loving spectators. The event was hosted by presenter, model and fashion PR girl Josie Smith who works on behalf of CHIC.  The main club room was turned into a retail shopping area, where clothes, accessories and beauty products were for sale. Eager to check out the retailers and work of new designers, the night was attended by fashion and style lovers from all over the country. CHIC aims to introduce students and clubbing enthusiasts to fledging designers and small businesses who they may not hear of otherwise. The glamorous and pretty location gave the night a very 'fashion industry' feeling to it, and us IKRUSH girls thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. Josie told us: 'It was again my pleasure to work with a talented and enthusiastic collective of designers and retailers on the second CHIC fashion event. As ever, it was great to see such inspiring and interesting outfits in the catwalk shows, and see the retailers having such a good night connecting with new customers. A big thanks must go again to Cirque for giving the event such amazing support, and a great backdrop to host the night within. I'll definitely be working with the club again soon on more fashion projects.' There was no excuse to leave empty handed as there were so many A/W treats to be had. Everything from dresses, scarves, hats and headbands was available to purchase along with party jewellery to see you through the Christmas and New Year season. Josie has a busy year of events and told us what she has planned next. She said: 'My attention is now focused primarily on festive fashion events with clients, particularly in shopping centres, as retailers start to gear up towards the Christmas party season. I'll have no excuse to wail I have nothing to wear! I'm now off to find something special for the MOBOs, and of course my first stop will be a few of the designers I worked with at CHIC.
