Love Island star Laura Anderson has announced she is expecting her first baby with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy. The 33-year-old former soap actor split from Gary, 41, back in January after a whirlwind romance, but the couple’s love for each other is still strong as they look forward to welcoming their new bundle of joy.
The news comes after Laura posted a series of pictures on Instagram that showed off her bump for the first time. It appears that the pair have been expecting for quite some time as, back in December, Gary shared a picture of himself holding up a baby grow with the words: “The one where we become parents. Baby Lucy due August 2023”.
In an interview released before Christmas, Laura admitted that although it seemed like they had done more than just kissing, they were trying to keep things PG while on Celebs Go Dating and not take any further steps until both were ready. She also spoke highly of Gary's parenting skills and said he had made her feel adored and protected.
Laura also took to Instagram to share a special moment she captured - a scan appointment with her mother by her side - whilst Gary was involved in a Boxing Day car accident which saw him narrowly miss serious injury.
With happy memories of Christmas now replaced by the anticipation of their first child together, it looks like this will be an exciting year for the couple!
